Dear reader,

We return to our appointment with the 4th number of Fissac Magazine, where we maintain the illusion for presenting the best possible magazine to thank you, once again, the trust placed in our project.

This 4th number of FSSAC Magazine includes of course basic science, with some of the main international researchers in their respective fields, but also applied science, for which we have large physiologists and coaches. We begin with an interview with Dr. Iñigo San Millán , performance director of the UAE Team Emirates (team of the recent winner of France of France Tadej Pogacar) and prestigious researcher in the field of cancer metabolism. In this number we have talked long and lying with him about performance, health and research. It details relevant details of the preparation of Pogacar, how it measures performance in its athletes or analyzes new lines of cancer research and treatment. A luxury. In addition, we have one of the most projection sports nutritionists again, our friend Aitor Viribay of Glut4science who, this time, tells us about metabolic flexibility and its importance on performance. As if it were a surgeon, it describes the mitochondria to end up explaining the secrets of what he calls "the most precious weapon." Dr. Antonio García Hermoso , prestigious researcher on exercise and health and author of more than 200 scientific articles also collaborates with us. Dr. García Hermoso makes a complete review of the latest evidence that explains the benefits of performing, now more than ever, physical exercise in the fight against COVID-19. For its part, Andrea Irazoki , who works in the Complex Metabolic Diseases Research Group and Mitochondria of IRB (Institut de Recerca Biomèdica) of Barcelona, talks about mitochondrial dynamics and how physical exercise modulate physiological responses in mitochondria.

And to close this 4th number, and as we have been doing since we started in this, our usual signatures, Pedro L. Valenzuela , Adrián Castillo and Javier S. Morales . Pedro tells us about the risks that smoking has not only for the health of he smokes, but also for those around him. On the other hand, Adri Aúna Anthropology and Physiology to detail how the structure of our hearts is changing for our lifestyle and looks more like chimpanzees. And Javi analyzes us whether the risks associated with a caesarean section could go beyond the intervention itself and affect the child's future health, including his physical form.

We wish you enjoy reading and, now that Christmas arrives, if you don't know what to give, what better way to bring science closer to your loved ones to the world with a subscription to our project. You already know that knowledge does not take place.
