A systematic review with meta-analysis has shown that strength training improves blood glucose control and descends glycosylated hemoglobin, a marker that measures glucose level in the last three months. The decrease was significantly related to the intensity of the exercise, so it is demonstrated that intensity becomes a key element to increase the improvements associated with training in patients with diabetes.
