Metabolic (English, Metabolic Syndrome [Mets] syndrome) is a chronic pathology whose prevalence is 30% in adults and is robustly associated with an increase in cardiometabolic morbidity and mortality for any cause. Erratic feeding patterns (IE, eat for a prolonged period per day and with an irregular schedule of meals), are common in patients with METS. Fasting in restricted time (English, time-recovered eating [TRE]) could mitigate circadian deregulation of food intake improving various cardiometabolic health markers by reducing the incidence of Mets.
