Sarcopenia, understood as the progressive loss of mass and muscle function associated with aging, is considered a public health problem due to its growing prevalence and implication in the loss of functional capacity in the elderly. In the absence of useful pharmacological interventions, physical activity appears as the only option in promoting musculoskeletal health in advanced age. But is it really effective?
